The berries are great eaten fresh, but they are also excellent for making jams, jellies, wine and preserves. When mature, Thornless Boysenberry produces 4 Qt. to 6 Qt. of berries per plant. It usually bears its first fruit in its second year. The berries are best harvested when they drop from the vine at a slight touch.
