My apologies for this inconvenience.💥 *Cactus (*Not really a cactus but a Stapeliad), Star Fish Cactus, Stapelia Ambigua, 4in Potted Plant, Outdoor Gardening, Stapelia Cactus, Cactus Arrangements 💥 Name: Starfish Cactus Scientific Name: Stapelia ambigua Family: Apocynaceae 💥 Stapelia Cactus is a genus of low-growing, spineless, stem succulent plants, predominantly from South Africa with a few from other parts of Africa. Several Asian and Latin American species were formerly included but they have all now been transferred to other genera. This species has a less fuzzy and more spikey appearance than it’s cousin Stapelia Leendertziae. 💥 Origination: South Africa Light Requirements: Part Sun Origination: Native to South Africa. Height: under 6 inches Hardiness: Zone 9A+ Flower Color: Dark red, deep purple-brown to chocolate, with transverse brown to whitish corrugations, and covered with long purplish hairs Characteristics: Long-lasting, star-shaped blooms Uses: Great ornaments for home, apartment, office, dorm💥 Growing Instructions: Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate some direct sunlight. It can also grow in light shade. Use a gritty, well-drained soil. A commercial cactus or succulent mix works well. Mildly alkaline soil with a pH of 7.5 to 8.5. Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot. Water regularly during the growing season (spring and summer) and reduce watering in the dormant season (fall and winter). It is very heat-resistant and can tolerate quite cold temperatures and light frost. Ideal temperatures are between 50°F (10°C) and 80°F (27°C). Use a balanced, diluted fertilizer. Ensure good air circulation to prevent fungal diseases.💥 Ships in the 3.5” pots shown in the pictures. You will receive a plant that is very similar to the plants pictured however they may have grown some or depending on the time of year, they could be semi-dormant. Some plants will drop their leaves in winter - Crown of Thorns, Buddha Belly Jatropha, Etc. I have only grown plants in Florida and will send out anything I feel comfortable will grow here. It is up to you to know the conditions that these plants grow in the part of the country you reside. If your plant arrives rotting or dead, we will replace it for you. Please note that minor cosmetic damage, such as a few broken leaves or small stems, may occur during transit and is a common risk inherent in the shipping process.
