Details: Red Mulberry Tree - Morus Rubra - Live Plant - Not Dwarf. The Red Mulberry is a fruit-bearing tree. The most attractive feature of this tree is the fruit it produces. The fruit is a compound cluster of several small berries 2-3 cm long, when it is ripening it is red or dark purple, edible and very sweet with a good flavor. Mulberries can be eaten raw directly from your tree, or save some for pies, preserves and wine. They’re a delicious sweet treat on a summer day. These trees Self Fertile, producing Male and Female Flowers but will produce more if allowed to cross polinate with another tree in the neighborhood. Plants are 1'-2'+ tall and shipped bareroot and dormant for Winter, ready for transplanting. If the tree doesn't fit in the shipping box the tips will be trimmed back for fit.
