This variety or bush produces at at a much earlier time than most other blackberries, mid to late July. With its super sweet fruit, this berry can be eaten fresh, or cooked down into a jam or jelly. You can even add other fruits such as strawberries, Grapes, the raspberry, or even a fig to create delicious jams of seedless jellies. The Prime Ark blackberry is heat hardy, and may require a trellis to give it a little bit of help standing up. Planting multiple varieties of blackberry bushes next to each other can increase your yield due to cross pollination.
