Details: Add this unique Asian Pear Variety to your fruit tree collection! The Oriental Pear is delicious eaten fresh, used in baked goods (think pear crisp or pear bread), or canned for later use. Make the best and sweetest jelly! With a flowering period in early spring and fruit set in summer, the Orient Pear is so easy to grow! Not grown from seeds... this tree is grafted on to high quality root stock for best results and delicious fruit qualities. Since it is grafted, you have a very high chance of survival as long as the tree is properly cared for. This tree gets tall! Be sure to choose a planting site that gets full sun and has at least 15-20 feet of room to grow. You can always prune your tree to keep it at a manageable height. Plant alongside other fruiting trees like fig, avocado, kumquat, olive, lemon, plum, orange, cherry, apple, lime, or peach. Note: a second variety is required for Orient pear cross pollination.
