The mass of adorable, long-lasting flower clusters shines over shiny, dark green leaves with scalloped edges. From yellow and white to red, coral and bright orange, the flower colors have a way of brightening one’s day, which makes sense for a flowering succulent known as flaming Katy. Kalanchoe do not require bright light to flower, which makes this plant an excellent addition as a houseplant or for an indoor dish garden or centerpiece. Gift one to cheer up a loved one or mix and match in planters or borders. Deadhead to tidy up the plant and encourage more flowers to open. To get the plant to rebloom, give it a rest period of six to eight weeks of low light/darkness for 14 hours a day, little water, and no fertilizer.
