Details: This full sun perennial naturally grows in the central and southcentral U.S., from South Dakota south to Texas, and from Arizona east to Missouri and Arkansas. Although drought and heat tolerant, and found in sandy, calcareous soils, supplemental watering may extend the flowering period. It has a long taproot and is best transplanted in winter while dormant. Engelmann’s daisy flowers provide nectar to a wide variety of pollinators including bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
