Brand: Horn Canna Farm

Color: Red, Yellow

Features:

  • ONE-OF-A-KIND COLOR SHOW: Cleopatra is one of the most talked-about canna varieties for good reason. Each bloom can emerge solid red, solid yellow, or yellow splashed with vivid red markings, and no two plants are guaranteed to look identical. The variability is a feature, not a flaw, and the effect in a border or container planting is genuinely show-stopping.
  • DRAMATIC FOLIAGE IN THREE FORMS: The leaves are just as bold as the flowers. Cleopatra foliage can emerge solid green, solid deep bronze, or in a striking green-and-burgundy bicolor pattern. Whether the blooms are up or between cycles, the plant remains a focal point all season long.
  • THRIVES IN HEAT, WIDE ZONE RANGE: Cannas are heat-loving, sun-hungry plants, and Cleopatra is no exception. Rated for USDA Hardiness Zones 3 through 9, it performs across a huge range of climates. Plant rhizomes in spring once soil has warmed to at least 60°F, spacing them 12 to 18 inches apart and 1 to 2 inches deep in full to part sun.
  • TALL TROPICAL IMPACT: Cleopatra reaches 4 to 5 feet at maturity (48 to 60 inches), making it an outstanding choice for the back of a mixed border, a dramatic container specimen, or a privacy screen along a fence or deck. The upright, bold-leafed form reads as tropical even before the first bud opens.
  • GROWER-QUALITY RHIZOME, READY TO PLANT: Each order includes one grade 3/5 eye canna rhizome, packed fresh and ready for spring planting. Cannas multiply readily underground, so one rhizome can establish into a clump of 3 to 5 new rhizomes by season's end. In Zones 7 to 9, they can overwinter in the ground with a layer of mulch. In colder zones, simply dig and store rhizomes before the first hard frost.
