Details: Breeze Lomandra is an evergreen plant with long, thin foliage that appears to be very similar to that of large grass varieties. It is a resilient plant that will thrive in various environments without issues. It most widely used as ornamental grass in both container and landscape gardens. Yellow flowers bloom on tall stalks in the spring and provides a cheerful color to your garden from the late spring to early summer.
With a mature size of 3'x3' and a natural mounding habit this evergreen remains extremely easy to manage year round! Apart of the Southern Living Plant Collection, the Breeze Lomandra is a grass like perennial that can be used as border plants, hedge plants, in grass gardens, rock gardens, Asian themed zen gardens or in a xeriscape setting. For those who are north of USDA zone 7b please note that this is not a very winter hardy plant, but it will happily grow in containers so that you may place them indoors.
This is a relatively low maintenance plant, and is best cleaned up in early spring before it resumes active growth for the season. Lomandra is exceptionally easy to grow in any dry, moist or well draining soil and is drought tolerant once it has been established. Avoid soils that remain soggy and you should have no problems. If planting in mass space the plants 4-5 feet apart.
