Details: The 'Orinoco' banana is a very sweet and delicious banana originating from the Orinoco River Valley in Venezuela. Not only are they delicious but they are also to transform any landscape into a tropical paradise. The 'Orinoco' is a very cold hardy banana, can be grown outdoors in USDA Hardiness zones 7-10. Orinocos prefer full sun to bear the most fruit but will still bear fruit if partially shaded. They can produce fruit year round! Once the mother tree bears fruit, it will then die, but not until it sends up new pups to replace her. The Orinoco will grow to about 20 feet in optimum conditions.
