• Brugmansias, or Angels Trumpets, are fast-growing, tropical shrubs with beautiful, trumpet-shaped flowers. They are highly fragrant at night and lend a romantic feel to any garden location. Mature plants will cycle into bloom several times during the warm season and are a nectar source for night pollinators such as Luna moths.
• Angels Gold Face is a registered Brugmansia cubensis hybrid. It matures at a smaller than average size of about 6 to 8 feet, has a dense, full, self-branching habit, and is a profuse and reliable bloomer. Blooms are somewhat smaller than average, are densely doubled, short whiskered, with a tightly held recessed face and light, jasmine-like, nighttime fragrance. They open as pale pastel yellow and darken as they age to finish in a soft pastel orange hanging at about a 60º angle.
• Care: For optimal growth, plant your passion flower in a partial-shade location with fertile, well-draining soil and a trellis or other support. Water deeply, allowing the soil to dry out slightly between waterings to avoid spindly growth. Fertilize with a quality, bloom-boosting fertilizer in the spring, and prune as needed after flowering to control size.
• Indoor Growing: Brugmansias are not recommended for growing indoors. They require full sun, high temperatures, and high humidity, which makes them unsuitable for indoor growing environments.
• Climate: Brugmansias are tropical plants. They are recommended for growing outdoors in USDA Zones 9, 10, and 11. Protection from cold temperatures is required in all zones for the longest life, overall vigor, and earliest flowering.
