This is an attractively deeply multigreen succulent that produces leafless, spineless ribbed column-like stems that are adorned seasonally by small burgundy to purple flowers. The snazzy striping pattern on the stems gives this African native its name, Tanzanian zipper plant. Especially when the small ornamental flowers are present on the ridge lines of the stems, the plant is like living jewelry or an intricately detailed, clump-forming art piece. Forms a dense cluster of the beautiful stems to about a foot wide. Your plant will arrive fully rooted and ready to display, accompanied by a 5' concrete container. If placing outside, we recommend gradually acclimating your new euphorbia to direct sunlight. Inside, place the plant near your sunniest window for optimal color and form. If you live where frost is not a concern, you can plant in the garden, preferably in spring or early fall to avoid trying to establish during summer heat or winter chill.
