Details: 1 PawPaw seedling grown in individualized containers so it's easy for you to plant in the ground without breaking the roots. This creates a healthier tree because digging this deep rooted tree out of the ground can easily break roots. This tree will fruit in 4-5 years and the fruit has a vanilla custard/banana/mango flavor and texture. Requires approximately 350 chill hours to set fruit. Trees grow in the colder climate of USDA zone 5 and all the way up to the warmer climate of zone 9. Shade loving trees but will produce more fruit in the sun and the more pollinators that are present the better. Flies are great pollinators. Must keep soil around tree moderately wet but not overly soggy for the first few years of life, especially if in full sun. Each tree will measure about 20 to 25 feet tall when fully mature. Orders will ship within 48-hours of payment unless your order is placed on Thursday evening or Friday, those orders will go out the following Monday morning so they don't sit in the post office over the weekend.
